Week 18
All the week 18 names you need to know. Let’s keep it short and sweet!
Quarterbacks
Quinn Ewers, 1% rostered, Dolphins
Well, hot dang. Ewers earned his first career win against a very desperate Tampa Bay team who couldn’t afford another loss. What’s more impressive is the lack of weapons he was operating his offense with. A lot of his targets went to his tight ends so that would be the clear position group I’m targeting if I want in on this. Ewers was productive with 172 yards and 2 touchdowns. I would be nervous about the matchup in New England, but you’re here because you have many better options.
Riley Leonard, 1% rostered, Colts
Now that they’re officially eliminated, the Colts may opt to start Leonard to see what they have. It’ll be an interesting offseason at the quarterback position for Indy. Most teams in the same situation have started whoever is left standing during that last week just to get a glimpse of the player’s progress. With 44 year old Philip Rivers almost assuredly not a part of the future, there may be a sneaky start available here.
Running Backs
Audric Estime, 8.3% rostered, Saints
It was believed that Taysom Hill may get a bigger chunk of this backfield, that wasn’t the case. New Orleans leaned on Estime and he came through in a big way by turning 14 carries into 94 yards and a score. There’s a juicy matchup against Atlanta on tap where two division rivals with nothing to play for might surprise us and deliver a good one.
Keaton Mitchell, 1% rostered, Ravens
King Henry received a mega work load (36 carries!), but Mitchell still managed to produce 31 yards on 9 carries of his own. A few of those came on specific sweep plays as everyone knows Mitchell only needs one to break a big gain. Baltimore has a big game against Pittsburgh for the division crown, so you have to imagine they’ll throw everything they’ve got at them in a winner take all scenario.
Kene Nwangwu, 1% rostered, Jets
A longtime respected returner, he now may be entering a larger role with Breece Hall (knee) and Isaiah Davis (concussion) picking up big injuries against New England. He’s an incredibly elusive runner and gained 31 carries on just 6 attempts. With Buffalo next on their schedule, he could be an interesting play, especially with the Jets well out of contention and potentially not wanting to rush back any other backs from injury to take meaningless hits in the last game of the year.
Wide Receivers
Jalen McMillan, 0.9% rostered, Buccaneers
Mayfield had his full arsenal of weapons and it was McMillan that emerged as the main target in a pivotal game in Miami. His 9 targets led all pass catchers and he turned those into 7 grabs for 114 yards. He had a promising ending to his rookie season in 2024 but suffered a severe injury this year that he didn’t make it back from until week 15. He’s been eased in up to this point but showed up in a big way against the Dolphins.
Isaac TeSlaa, 1.4% rostered, Lions
It’s so difficult to predict where the Lions are going with the football. Not really due to scheme, just because it doesn’t seem like they know how to use their personnel. TeSlaa has been increasing his snap percentages lately and he still has that nose for the endzone. They do want to get him more involved, but it usually comes at the expense of Jameson Williams.
Parker Washington, 19.2% rostered, Jaguars
Washington continues to keep the Jacksonville offense moving. He’s posted back to back 100 yard games with 20 targets combined. Lawrence has most of his weapons available and it’s still Washington that he’s going to in the big moments. They’ll take on a Titans defense that was just lit up by Tyler Shough in Week 18. If you need a nice boom play, Washington could be your guy.
Tight Ends
Michael Mayer, 3.3% rostered, Raiders
Mayer was a super interesting prospect and was taken in the 2nd round a year before the Raiders selected Brock Bowers. With Bowers now on IR, Mayer will get the final weeks to show how far he’s come along. If it’s anything like he showed in Week 17, he’s come along great. 9 catches for 89 yards is certainly enough to get our attention, and he can be a strong play next week as well.
Greg Dulcich, 1% rostered, Dolphins
With Jaylen Waddle out of this contest early, Ewers relied on Dulcich while feeding him 6 targets. Waddle returned late but seemed to be more of a decoy. I’m not saying Dulcich will win you the week but he may be a nice desperate play if everything remains the same for Miami going into week 18.
Juwan Johnson, 79% rostered, Saints
Johnson posted his second productive game in a row as Tyler Shough continues to show improvement, He secured all 4 of his targets and nearly posted a 100 yard day. The Falcons have typically done well against opposing tight ends but Johnson could be in play if you’re in need.
