Titans Fall to Seahawks, Slip Toward Top-3 Pick as Focus Shifts to Cam Ward’s Development

November 24, 2025

The Tennessee Titans are in contention for another top-3 pick in the 2026 NFL draft, all but being eliminated from playoff contention after Sunday’s 30-26 loss to the Seattle Seahawks in Nashville. The goal for Ward from this point forward should be to develop, go through his progressions and feel confidence in his learning.

The Titans have a good quarterback in Cam Ward, but there is so much they don’t have. The Titans just don’t have the depth at offensive line or wide receiver to make much of a run with the current version of the team.

When the Titans played the Seahawks, their top pass-catcher was rookie tight end Gunnar Helm, and wide receiver Chimere Dike had the lone touchdown catch for Tennessee. Without several downfield threats like Calvin Ridley in the lineup, the Titans stall on drives. Cam Ward also was the Titans’ top rusher on Sunday, an unsustainable approach to the offensive attack.

The biggest positive for Tennessee was playing mistake-free football. When limiting mistakes, the Titans have stayed in games, and put up a fight against playoff teams like the Los Angeles Chargers, Denver Broncos and Houston Texans.

The Titans defense was stouter, limiting Seattle to 2-of-7 on third down, and limiting time of possession to only 22 minutes and change.

The Titans should turn some attention to next season, looking at competent head coaching options, watching more prospect tape to deepen areas of concern on offense, and seeing younger players prove their worth to the current roster.
