Chiefs Feast, Ravens Forget How to Football
September 29, 2025
What. A. Dud. Baltimore took the opening possession and marched down the field to take an early 7-0 lead and then fell completely silent for the remainder of the game. Lamar Jackson seemingly forgot how to play football while the defense slowly bled points.
The Baltimore defense played well enough in the first half but gave up two touchdowns right before halftime which blew this thing wide open early. There’s something to be said about the defense losing faith while the Raven offense was out there fumbling, getting sacked, and downright forgetting how to play football. Lamar has never looked so bad.
Kansas City took the second half opening possession for a touchdown and unofficially ended things early. This was also the first week that Xavier Worthy returned from his week 1 run in with Travis Kelce and they used his speed everywhere. Juju, Hollywood, Kelce and so many others were involved. The Ravens had no idea who to cover and it showed as they were constantly leaving Chiefs open for big gains and allowing for Mahomes to toss 4 touchdown passes.
With about a minute remaining, it was announced that Lamar Jackson had sustained a pulled hamstring at some point and Cooper Rush took over. As you can imagine, the results were more of the same and Kansas City easily improved their record to 2-2.
The loss brings Baltimore to a 1-3 record (tying the worst 4 game start to a season in the John Harbaugh era) heading into October. They’ll have a lot to figure out as they look to next week and try to pick up the pieces to turn this season around.
