Monday’s Quick Hitters (Week 12)
November 24, 2025
Lions vs. Giants
Wow! We had 1,011 total yards of offense and the Giants nearly got the job done in Detroit. Jameis Winston had this team rolling and pushed the ball downfield resulting in 10 catches of 20+ yards which is the most since 1991. He outdueled Goff and had a 366 yard performance while adding his first career touchdown reception to his resume. Unfortunately for New York, this was actually the Jahmyr Gibbs show and he went NUTS accounting for 264 yards and 3 scores, including a 69 yard game winner in OT. Per Next Gen Stats, Jahmyr Gibbs reached a top speed of 22.17 mph on his 69-yard touchdown run in overtime. That’s good enough for the fourth fastest speed by a ball carrier this season and Gibbs’ third time over 22 mph. Yes, that means Gibbs is responsible for three of the top four recorded speeds this season. Just insane work.
Bills vs. Texans
Houston came away with an upset victory behind the arm of Davis Mills and a lights out defensive performance. The Texans defense generated 29 pressures on Josh Allen which resulted in 8 sacks! The most Allen has ever taken in his career. He was uncomfortable all night, running around and it looked more like a recess schoolyard than an NFL offense. Allen would throw two interceptions before the night was done and the loss was taken. Buffalo designated second year receiver Keon Coleman as a healthy scratch which just continues to be a big miss for their receiving corps. With a receiving room made up of Shakir, Hawes, Palmer, Knox, Gilliam.. It’d be difficult for anyone to win. Buffalo has been difficult to figure out this year with some ugly losses on their record, but this Houston defense is for real!
Ravens vs. Jets
Don’t look now, but the Ravens have completely erased their 1-5 start to the year and find themselves 6-5 with their win over the Jets. Harbaugh got his group to refocus and they’ve rattled off five straight victories since the return of Lamar Jackson. Lamar earned 4 of those, Tyler Huntley got the streak going in late October against the Bears. Pittsburgh is still right there with them and we’ll see them face off twice down the final stretch of the schedule. We called it earlier in the year but to see it play out is pretty wild considering how much they had to accomplish just to get back in the mix. There’s still some tough matchups on the schedule outside of the Steelers including New England and Green Bay, but this divisional race should be a photo finish.
Eagles vs. Cowboys
This one seemed like it’d be over early when Philly jumped out to their first half 21-0 lead. Dallas had their chances to stay in it, but this game was very much leaning to an Eagles blow out. Dak was missing throws, CeeDee was dropping passes, George Pickens wasn’t very involved. Then, it suddenly slowed down heading into half when Dallas adjusted their gameplan and started dialing up more plays for Pickens. The offense took off from there and Dallas took the whole second half to claw back into it while their defense shut out Philly the rest of the way. Aubrey won it with a game winning kick and Dallas lives to fight another day. This is one they had to have, but the schedule will still be tough with the Chiefs and Lions on tap.
Browns vs. Raiders
You know we had to do it! Shedeur Sanders got his first start and helped the Browns get their third win of the year. We figured it’d be a nice matchup for a rookie to take given how poor the Raiders have looked this season. Cleveland’s defense should dominate and keep it close, just like how it played out. Sanders went 11-20 for 209 with 1 touchdown and 1 interception. Sanders flashed a great throw late in the 1st quarter where he took the snap, instantly faced pressure and rolled right to deliver a deep bomb to Isaiah Bond who was downed at the 1. The Cleveland crowd went nuts and the Browns would go on to win 24-10. Good or bad, this one was going to generate opinions from everyone. Sanders played well enough to win and will now get an opportunity to string a winning streak together for the Browns next week. Things are getting exciting FAST for this team, even Myles Garrett flashed a few smiles.
