How to Lose a Game 101: Cardinals Edition

October 7, 2025

Some called it a comedy of errors. Some called it insane. Arizona Cardinals quarterback called it “How to lose a game 101.” All are absolutely right.

Sunday’s Cardinals-Titans game was messy. Especially for Arizona. Cardinals running back Emari Demarcado committed the worst sin in football: dropping the ball at the one-yard line. Seven points off the board. The Cardinals had a chance to seal the game with an interception of Titans quarterback Cam Ward. They picked it off, fumbled it, and it was recovered for a Tennessee touchdown. A massive 14-point swing which ended up being the difference in the game. The Titans ended with a last-second field goal, to win it 22-21.

Cam Ward gets his first win. The Cardinals a gut-turning loss. Where do these teams rebound from here? It only gets harder for Arizona, who play the red-hot Indianapolis Colts (4-1), and the Titans have a tune-up game against the Las Vegas Raiders (1-4).
