Josh Allen earned his MVP.

There was plenty of controversy surrounding the MVP pick from last season, many fans arguing that Lamar Jackson should have taken home the crown. While he certainly was a fair contender, Josh definitely earned the title and it showed in Buffalo’s game against the Ravens. Sure, the offense struggled to get things going prior to half, but let’s take a look at what Josh and the fellas accomplished in that fourth quarter: Allen achieved more passing yards in the fourth quarter alone than the Lions, Giants, Seahawks, Dolphins, Bengals, or Titans accomplished in their games this week. 394 yards throughout the entire game. Wow. Lamar only reached 210 passing yards. I said it once and I’ll say it again, Josh has the arm talent needed to gain yards. Lamar is better off as a running back.

Mike McDaniel is kind of a joke.

While the performance of a team can’t solely be put on the head coach, they definitely take a brunt of the responsibly…hence why they’re the head coach. Mike McDaniel has a measly 54.9% winning record with the Dolphins. While he’s lead his team to victor in more than half of their regular season games, the numbers speak for themselves: McDaniel has no idea what he’s doing. He also has a record of making poor decisions on behalf of the team: forcing the ball to Tyreek Hill regardless of performance or coverage, leaving quality receivers out of the equation (ie: Waddle), allowing his quarterback to make his own health decisions despite knowing darn well it’s best if he sits this one out. If that’s not enough proof for you, just go listen to one of Mike’s press conferences. ‘Nuff said.

The Jets offense is ready to take off.

Listen, I am well aware that the Jets lost 34-32 against the Steelers, but you’re out of your mind if you didn’t see the performance their offense put on. First of all, both quarterbacks had an insane amount of pressure facing their former team’s, but Justin delivered. Justin was able to accomplish 218 passing yards, completing 16 of 22 attempts. He even managed to find himself in the endzone. Other notable performances: Garret Wilson for a 33-yard (totaling 95 receiving yards) and Breece Hall gaining 107 rushing yards. I can’t say if it’s Aaron Glenn, Justin Fields, or just the offense finding their groove, but it just might be time to buckle up and get ready for take off.

Ja’Marr Chase is wasting his talents in Cincy.

As a Bengals fan myself, this is tough to say, but I think it’s time that Chase flirts with other options. Uno has spent his past few seasons proving that he’s 711 (always open), yet Zac Taylor continues to play favorites…I’m looking at you Tee and every other tight end. This past weekend against the Browns, Chase saw a whopping five targets, recording only two receptions for 26 yards. Ew. These stats for someone with his talent is just appalling. This isn’t much better than what we’ve seen in past years from Chase and I think it’s time for him to find a new home….someone that will see his value. And use it.

The Chiefs offense is overrated.

Oh boy, I’m already anticipating the Swifties coming at me for this one! Ever since Super Bowl 59, it seems (sometimes) like the refs have heard the complaints and are starting to call their games fairly. Aside from the loss itself, the performance speaks for itself. It was sloppy. Some may blame the fact that it was week one (but it was for the Chargers, too) and some may say they were simply jetlagged (so were the Chargers), but there are no excuses. The Chargers held their own, so where were the Chiefs at when the refs aren’t bailing them out? Patrick Mahomes overthrowing, Hollywood Brown dropping easy passes, Travis Kelce’s clunky self injuring his own teammate (I saw the video, it was all on Kelce), Kelce losing his ever loving crap on Jawaan Taylor and screaming in his face like the terrible teammate he is…should I go on? Get it together, guys. The tools are there (Xavier Worthy, Rachee Rice), they just aren’t able to use them properly with their injuries and suspensions. So that leaves me with one question: are the Chiefs on a downward spiral?
