TreVeon Henderson is exactly what NE needed.

Ever since the Brady-Belichick dynasty ended in New England, the Patriots were on somewhat of a downward spiral. They slowly but surely lost all of their remaining talent, couldn’t get the quarterback right, and struggled with coaching. This season, they’re opening a new chapter to a whole new story. After unveiling a new side of Drake Maye we didn’t know existed, they unleashed the power of TreVeyon Henderson. As we head into Week 12, Henderson has a massive total of 100 carries and 5 rushing touchdowns with only one fumble. For a rookie, that’s pretty impressive. So far it seems like Maye and Henderson have immense chemistry and a drive to get the job done. Could they be this eras Brady-Gronk duo?

Ashton Jeanty is being wasted in Las Vegas.

Big changes came to the Raiders this season and they were supposed to be unstoppable. Instead, they’re just stopped…again and again. With Big Pete on the mic and veteran Geno Smith under center, you would think the team would be going places, especially when you ad in the sixth overall pick from the 2024 draft. Unfortunately, the young gun’s talent is being wasted his rookie season. With Geno fighting for most interceptions on a season with Tua Tagovailoa, Jeanty doesn’t really stand a chance to have an elite breakout performance. His speed, agility, and ability to weave through defenders, however, has not gone unnoticed when he does actually have a shot at doing something. With 547 rushing yards on 143 carries, he’s working his butt off trying to make a name for himself despite the mess in Vegas. For his sake, hopefully someone takes notice and offers a trade before his entire career going down the toilet.

Jahmyr Gibbs is changing the Lions RB room.

Detroit is known for its elite running back duo Sonic and Knuckles. If you’re a fan of the Lions or pay attention to their playcalling as of late, however, you’re aware they seem to be phasing out Knuckles (David Montgomery) and relying more on Sonic (Jahmyr Gibbs). While Monty is more known for his strength and powerhouse ability to break through any wall of defenders, Gibbs has speed. In terms of touchdowns and carries, they’re relatively equal at this point in the season (Detroit relied more on Montgomery in the beginning), but as the season treks on, we’re seeing less and less of the powerhouse and more attempts at speed. With an average of 732 yards on the season, Gibbs is making waves across Detroit and whatever they’re doing with him seems to be working. But not always. Should Detroit phase out their aging running back and put more focus on the younger version? I don’t think so. They both bring different value to the line and not utilizing each when needed will be detrimental…as we saw against the Eagles.

De’Von Achane is HIM in Miami.

After an off-season filled with backstage drama from Tyreek Hill and eventual season ending injury, Mike McDaniel no longer has his ‘go to’ to force feed the ball to. He seems to be turning to none other than De’Von Achane. While Achane saw the ball a handful of times last season, McDaniel admitted to forcing the ball to Hill regardless of the outcome, so he didn’t really have an opportunity to showcase his talents. Now that Hill is out of the picture and McDaniel is relying more on his run game (because Tua is throwing picks all damn day), he’s got defenders scrambling to keep up. Achane is nearing 1,000 rushing yards on the season (sitting at 900 heading into Week 12), with 164 attempts and five total touchdowns. With Miami struggling as much as they are with a terrible QB and little option on the field (sorry Waddle…), relying heavily on Achane doesn’t seem to be such a bad game plan.

Jonathan Taylor could be MVP.

Daniel Jones stepping into Indy and throwing dimes is exactly what the colts needed. Pair that with the abilities of Jonathan Taylor and you’ve got yourself one hell of a ball game to watch. In fact, Taylor is so good, he broke a new franchise record for yards from scrimmage this season (286 yards) during their matchup against the Falcons. Needless to say, anyone playing against him in fantasy that week was crying (I know I was!). Taylor has explosive speed, an unbelievably ability to make big plays, and power to break tackles that most running backs struggle with. If he and Jones continue connecting the way they have been, the Colts may be on their way to the Super Bowl.
