From Tebow Time to Bo Time: Broncos Stun the Champs in Mile High Miracle
October 7, 2025
The Denver Broncos beat the defending champion Philadelphia Eagles!
For a while, it looked really bleak. For three quarters, the Broncos struggled mightily on offense, scoring only three points through the first 45 minutes. Enter clutch Bo Nix in the fourth quarter. The young sophomore quarterback went nine-of-10 with a touchdown pass and a two-point conversion attempt which brought Denver back into the lead for the first time since 3-0. Denver tacked on a field goal and the defense held on the final Eagle drive to hold on for a miraculous 21-17 win over the defending Super Bowl champs.
The Broncos are now 2-112 when trailing by 14+ points going into the fourth quarter. Their last win? From a quarterback out of Florida named Tim Tebow in 2011, which kicked off a seven-win-in-eight-game stretch, leading the Broncos to the playoffs. Can Denver turn this monumental win into another playoff berth? It may be too soon to tell, but this is easily the biggest win of the Sean Payton era.
