Game Recaps
6 Bronze Universe (8-6) vs 3 Accepting Trade Offers (9-5)
Bronze Universe did the unthinkable this season and pulled off the turn around of the century. After finishing 2-12 in year one, he brought this team back to life in year two behind a reawakening of Patrick Mahomes and stellar drafting while bringing in players like Emeka Egbuka this past offseason. Mahomes has been great but the Chiefs offense has cooled off tremendously over the last several weeks which has also affected the Travis Kelce numbers at tight end. Another big boost comes from the career revivals of Rico Dowdle and Kenneth Gainwell. The two combined have been some of the biggest surprises on the fantasy season and will need to do work if Bronze is to come away with the win here.
Accepting Trade Offers has a team led by Dak Prescott, CMC and Bucky Irving with the rest of the lineup pieced together with chewing gum and scotch tape. Names like Boutte, Bam Knight and Chris Rodriguez have all been contributing to keep this thing afloat. Trade Offers also carries the number 2 scoring Houston Texans Defense who, aside from week 13, haven’t scored less than 16 points since week 3. Trade Offers is a problem and, in the end, will be too much for Bronze Universe to handle.
5 Amon Ra Doggin Your Girl (8-6) vs 4 Big Penix Energy (8-6)
IT was a 5-0 start followed by a 3-6 finish with many ugly box scores. Playoff season started last weekend for Big Penix Energy as they needed to win to get in and still almost lost it behind a negative score from the QB position. Penix has by far and away the worst QB production of any team, ranking dead last on the year by a solid 70 points between them and the 11th ranked team. The team around the QB slot hasn’t been all that impressive either. Flat out, this team isn’t good enough to get by with 10 or less at Q.
Ra Doggin will certainly have the advantage at QB although Bo Nix may struggle a touch with the Green Bay defense. Nix should still be able to outpace Stroud which is all he’ll really need to do. We’ll see what kind of weekend we get from Kyren Williams as he lost a lot of work to Blake Corum last week. Tony Pollard bounced back to life in a huge way with his first 100 yard effort of the season. If Pollard can do something like that again, it could very well be the difference in Da Doggin moving on to the second round or not as their roster has had more consistent play over the season when compared to BPE.
