Keith, Commish

A Fantasy Season with THE Dynasty League is a behind-the-scenes look at one commissioner’s journey through a homegrown dynasty fantasy football league. Each week covers trades, roster moves, rookie updates, league drama, and more — all from the perspective of a manager playing the long game. It’s fantasy football with history, strategy, and just the right amount of chaos.

Week 11: Scrambling for QBs and Scraping for Playoff Positioning

Quarterback play has been pretty bad this season for fantasy, unless you have an elite option like Josh Allen. It’s on display with the waivers has teams are scrambling for either new starters or backups from the wire.

Yoshi & Friends (3-8) vs Accepting Trade Offers (7-4)

Yoshi has been struggling to score points all season and failed to break the 100 point threshold yet again in week 11. With Kincaid ruled out and no back up listed, a nice goose egg was gifted in the tight end slot. Joe Flacco (15) came up short but somehow managed to outduel ATO’s Lamar Jackson (8). If Jaylen Warren (8) is forced to miss any time due to the ankle injury, things will only get uglier. Yoshi needs this season to end.

Trade Offers picked up the lay up of a win and didn’t have to be concerned with the poor outing for Lamar CMC continued his dominant campaign with 42 and he was joined by Nico Collins (23) and Tee Higgins (15) to help get the job done. Trade Offers gets another soft matchup in week 12 against the talentless Ricky B squad.

Amon Ra Doggin Your Girl (6-5) vs Everyone’s Hurt (7-4)

Aaron Rodgers (14) exited early with a hand injury and is questionable for next week but the team was carried by Kyren (21), Kenneth Walker (26) and another massive George Pickens (33) performance on Monday Night. It would have been enough to get the job done against most teams, but Ra Doggin unfortunately matched up with the highest scoring team of the week. Everyone’s Hurt is still out here limping around and walking into wins. They put up the highest score with 176, which is the second lowest weekly high of any week. The big winner that swung this in their direction was the career day by Tet Mcmillan (36). Falcons/Panthers games have been going off the last few years and he’s the latest to be able to cash in on the points.

Hurts will match up in week 12 against a team they took the opening week loss to. With both squads coming in at 7-4. It’ll go a long way in shaping out the standings as head toward the final weeks. Ra Doggin gets to take on the confusing Bronze Universe who is somehow still around and competing for a BYE

Hanks You Very Much (4-7) vs Blue Know It (5-6)

I’ll say it, both of these teams are annoying. Hanks is too good to have the record they have and the same can be said for Blue Know It. Hanks has the firepower with Henderson (34), Achane (31), Jamo (19), and McBride (25) to compete with just about anyone. They took the win this week with ease even with a horrid game from Justin Herbert (5). Puka Nacua (13) didn’t have his best game either but 13 will usually not hurt you. It was a solid victory over an opponent searching desperate for wins to get back into the playoff picture

Blue Know It has battled all the way back to 5-5 just to drop one this week to a team that’s been out of it for weeks. It’s definitely a big loss to take this late but things are still wide open for 6th seed. Drake Maye (24) continues to produce and show why he’s worth trading a 1st round pick for. Without him, Blue Know It’s season might’ve already been over. They’ll get an easy opportunity to get back into the win column and back into the race in week 12 against a 3-8 Yoshi team.

Ricky B (4-7) vs Bronze Universe (7-4)

Despite a 60 point day from Josh Allen where he scored 6 touchdowns to kill the Bucs, Ricky B’s team came up short. Depth has been rough ever since trading away a few pieces but this is all part of the rebuilding plan. They almost pulled out the win but their defense no showed with -.5 while Bronze Universe’s defense went nuts against the Raiders with 21 to secure the win. Bronze keeps finding ways to win and remains in the fight for a playoff BYE. The turnaround from this team has been nothing short of miraculous as many predicted this team to be down there with Yoshi – But good drafting and lineups have this team writing their own Cinderella story as we head towards the final stretch.

Staff Infection (4-7) vs Shake N Bake (7-4)

Another complete game from top to bottom for Shake N Bake notched the 7th win of the season. Putting up 165 with stars like Rashee Rice and Davonte Adams failing to hit 10 points is encouraging. The running back trio of Henry (27), Etienne (24) and Tracy (23) led the way. Any time your horses are putting up numbers like that, you’ll be hard to take down. Especially on a week where Jonathan Taylor was on a bye week. This group continues to be the favorite and will have a good shot at improving to 8-4 next week against Hanks You Very Much. Though, Hanks has had some high scoring weeks of their own as of late.

Staff Infection feels like they’re one more big trade or draft pick away from taking that next step. Bijan (40) is the heart and soul of this whole thing and RJ Harvey (9) will continue to play well this year and beyond as he will more than likely earn the main role next year. Drake London is a fantastic piece to build your receiver group around, and usually McConkey (1) can be counted on but it was a bad day for the Chargers as a whole. It’s also been bad luck from the start as they’ve gone most of the year without start quarterback Jayden Daniels. However, Stafford (19) has been more than serviceable most weeks.

Big Penix Energy (7-4) vs The Flea Market (5-6)

Big Penix had some big luck in this one to get out with the victory. They were let down yet again with another horrendous qb performance. This time by Michael Penix (10) who exited early with an injury. This is a team who has had the quarterback fail to hit 20 points 7 of 11 weeks. What didn’t help on Sunday was Jacobs (7) leaving with an injury on a day he clearly would’ve done numbers on. Breece Hall (9), Chase (5) and Waddle (7) all no showed once again. So many talented guys, but this specific combination of players just doesn’t seem to get it done together. Penix will face off in a rematch against Everyone’s Hurt. With both teams at 7-4, this could have serious seeding implications.

The Flea Market nearly stole this one and might’ve had Quentin Johnston (0) and Blake Corum (1) remembered they had a game to play. Ashton Jeanty (6) continued his struggles in Las Vegas to the tune of 7 yards on 6 attempts. It’ll be a tough situation for a few years to come, hopefully they can improve enough to at least get him RB2 numbers in the future. He took a bad safety late in the game too, possibly even doubting himself at this point. One more big offseason might have this team back in contention.

Week 11 marks the point in the season where everything starts to tighten up. The year is quickly coming to an end, and teams are running out of time to prove whether they belong in the playoff conversation or are destined to fade out. Every lineup choice matters, every injury stings a little more, and every matchup feels like it could swing the entire season. It’s officially make-it-or-break-it time.
