Keith, Commish
A Fantasy Season with THE Dynasty League is a behind-the-scenes look at one commissioner’s journey through a homegrown dynasty fantasy football league. Each week covers trades, roster moves, rookie updates, league drama, and more — all from the perspective of a manager playing the long game. It’s fantasy football with history, strategy, and just the right amount of chaos.

Favorites Flop, Underdogs Feast
We witnessed a number of key injuries take place that altered the fantasy landscape in week 6. Big names like Emeka Egbuka, Marvin Harrison, Garrett Wilson and Puka Nacua went down. The further we go along here, the more team owners will need to navigate that dreaded injury bug – Especially as bye weeks become more of a factor making things increasingly difficult.
This has opened the door for upsets across the board as five of the 6 favorites took a surprising loss this week. With the standings now upside down, the top playoff seeds are open for the taking.

Game Recaps
Tua Time (3-3) vs Yoshi & Friends (1-5)
Perhaps the biggest upset of the week was the winless Yoshi & Friend getting their first victory of the season against the mighty Tua Time. I know my loss hurt this week, but I can’t imagine how you feel, Tua. Big let downs across the board from Kamara (9), Gibbs (9), Flowers (5) .. the list goes on. The big let downs open the door for Yoshi who has struggled to eclipse the 100 point mark all season long. Tua Time still finds themselves in the playoff mix, but a big date with the injury riddled Ricky B awaits them in week 7.
Yoshi, I don’t know how you did it. This was an auto L all the way but here you sit 1-5. Selecting Skattebo (40) 3rd overall in the rookie draft is paying off big time as he is now the clear leader of your roster. Other key contributions from…Luke McCaffrey (17) ?!?!?! And.. Kendrick Bourne (23) ?!?! Yeah, this makes no sense. Opportunity is ahead for a winning streak as Bronze Universe comes to town fresh off their own upset in week 6.
Accepting Trade Offers (2-4) vs Bronze Universe (4-2)
While we’re on the topic of Bronze Universe, they did their job beating out McCaffrey (23) and the boys from Trade Offers. While ACT finds themselves in the midst of one hell of an injury bug, Bronze Universe struck hard behind Dowdle (56) and Mahomes (47). Dowdle has been playing out of his mind the last weeks posting over 100 points and propelling himself to RB4 on the year.
Trade Offers are certainly doing what they can, but it’s not easy without Lamar Jackson, Bucky Irving, Chuba Hubaard and now a questionable David Njoku. The Nico Collins bye week didn’t make things any easier but the timely trade of Rachaad White (15) should help make up for some lost points. Getting a victory this week against a struggling Blue Know It team could go a long way in saving their season.
Big Penix Energy (5-1) vs Hanks You Very Much (2-4)
Well, the luck finally ran out for ol’ Penix. Against some better judgement, decided to start Fields against Denver just praying for garbage points that never arrived. That decision ultimately caused BPE to find their first loss of the season. It’s shame, too. Because huge days from Jacobs (38) and JSN (33) went to waste. This quarterback situation has been abysmal with BPE now starting a QB who earns less than 7 points in 3/6 weeks to this point (ranking dead last). With draft picks to burn, they May(e) be in the market to get his fixed soon.
Hanks saw the door ajar and wasted no time busting through it to earn the second win of the season. Big days from Achane (39), Metcalf (20), Jamo (17) and McBride (17) helped take care of business and knock off the last of the undefeated. Hanks will attempt to get a win streak together as they take on the struggling Staff Infection. Don’t be too fooled, though, as Staff Infection has received some stellar RB production out of Swift and Bijan. This will be no cake walk.
Amon Ra Doggin Your Girl (3-3) vs Shake N Bake (4-2)
Jonathan Taylor (32) kept his RB1 overall season going as Derrick Henry (24) found his footing once again as Shake N Bake powered by Ra Doggin to improve to 4-2 on the season. It was off to a rough start on Thursday when Tracy (.6) decided to take the night off but the Sunday crew took care of business.
Ra Doggin’ is in a spot where they’re trying to figure out what they have. Kenneth Walker (5) and Tony Pollard (7) continue to disappoint while Tee Higgins (11) and the Bengals fight to stay relevant. Losing Marvin Harrison (4) so soon after acquiring was another punch to the gut for a squad that’s good enough to contend, but may not have the points in them to see the semi final. It’ll now get interesting to see which direction they lean as sharks are starting to swarm this team.
Ricky B (4-2) vs The Flea Market (4-2)
Ricky B was doing so well, but you can only take so many key injuries to your starting group.. But 85 points?!? That might be the lowest total I’ve ever seen. Josh Allen (22) had a horrendous game on Monday Night but he’ll need to pick it up as he has always been this team’s main point gainer. Ricky is so thin currently that he’s trotting out Tuten (3) and B Smith (2). It’s a gross situation right now and we may be witnessing the turning point on their season.
The matchup against Ricky presented a lay up W for The Flea Market who, once again, was the lowest scoring winning team for the second week in a row. The Flea Market has been the 9th or worse highest scoring team in five of six weeks. It’s not often that those numbers result in a winning record but here we are. We’ll see if the luck continues in week 7 against a struggling Amon Ra Doggin’ group.
Staff Infection (2-4) vs Blue Know It (2-4)
Staff Infection dominated Blue Know It with a 100 point win and left absolutely no doubt coming in as the leagues highest scoring team. The stars of the show were the two big backs on Monday Night with Swift (38) and Bijan (50) going nuts after the battle had already been won. Drake London got into the action with 34 of his own. It was a display of dominance we rarely see and was completed while also starting Stafford (14), Harvey (3), Demercado (.1) and Hunter Henry (4). It could have been one of the highest scores of all time had that group been able to muster up even an average showing.
Blue Know It keeps falling. Saquon (10) isn’t Saquon, James Cook (14) was bottled up by the Falcons of all defenses and the rest of the team took the week off while they slipped to 2-4. I’m not sure we have ever seen Blue Know It this low in the standings, currently 11th. The road back to relevancy begins next week against another 2-4 roster in Accepting Trade Offers. The loser of that one may start to turn their attention to other leagues as crawling out of 2-5 has never been completed in this league.
That’ll put a bow on week 4! So much activity, uncertainty and it’s what makes this game so wild from week to week. You can have the clear, better roster and lose to a bottom feeder for no other reason than just because. There will be many more decisions made over the next 7 days as teams pick their direction and we’ll have it all highlighted in the week 5 Dynasty Digest.
Week 6 reminded us all that fantasy football isn’t about skill, it’s about surviving the football gods’ sense of humor. If your lineup still has two healthy players, buy a lottery ticket. Everyone else? Good luck duct-taping a roster together for Week 7
