Keith, Commish
A Fantasy Season with THE Dynasty League is a behind-the-scenes look at one commissioner’s journey through a homegrown dynasty fantasy football league. Each week covers trades, roster moves, rookie updates, league drama, and more — all from the perspective of a manager playing the long game. It’s fantasy football with history, strategy, and just the right amount of chaos.

Harrison Jr. Fleecing (And Other Week 4 Shenanigans)
A BIG trade went down this week during Thursday Night Football. As the mistakes kept growing for Marv, the patience from his owner grew smaller and smaller. Finally, in the third quarter, Harrison Jr was put on the block and sold for a starting QB within minutes. The transaction happened so quickly I didn’t even realize he was on the block. Harrison Jr began making amazing plays shortly after the trade had processed and ended up having a decent night with around 15 points. That’s just how it goes sometimes.

Game Recaps
Bronze Universe (2-2) vs Staff Infection (1-3)
The heavy underdog Bronze Universe snuck out a win behind a career day from Kenneth Gainwell (38.8). The continued success of Mahomes (41) this season helped provide a huge advantage over Staff Infection’s Daniel Jones (16). Egbuka (20) and Sutton (18) continue to show out in the resurgence of this once dead roster.
As for Staff Infection, I don’t think he went into the day thinking Bijan Robinson (40) would get matched by Kenneth Gainwell but that’s what makes this game crazy. You think you know what’s going to happen and suddenly a career backup erupts when the starter suddenly can’t play. The decision to leave D’Andre Swift on the bench luckily didn’t hurt him but combining those missed points with Stafford would’ve propelled them for the win. The true difference in this one was his Jets defense (2) laying a fat egg on Monday night as you just can’t afford to take near 0’s.
Ricky B (3-1) vs Blue Know It (2-2)
Did I say “once dead roster” above? Because it also applies here. Ricky B has come in and completely flipped the fortunes of this roster in year 1. Currently 3-1, but at this time last season they were dead at 1-3. Not to mention earning a MASSIVE win against one of the league Goliath’s in Blue Know It. We might have a mini contender on our hands here. The sudden return of Javonte Williams (23) this season and drafting Omarion Hampton (34) combined with Josh Allen have made this team very difficult to take down. Depth may be an issue but the wins keep piling up for now.
Is Blue Know It’s window closing? They’re 7th in PF but 9th in PA meaning they have some pretty good luck as far as scheduling goes but can’t take advantage of it right now. This week was incredibly unlucky as they finished 3rd in PF, right behind Ricky B who finished 2nd. I would say better days are ahead and it’ll start in week 5 vs a motivated Bronze Universe (2-2). As long as Blue Know It has a healthy Saquon, James Cook, and Jettas he’ll be alright.
Accepting Trade Offers (2-2) vs Big Penix Energy (4-0)
I was so close to changing the team name to Small Penix Energy as we’ve had by far and away the worst QB play in the league this season. We were also set to fall to 3-1 going into Sunday Night Football down by 80 but Garrett Wilson (18) and JK Dobbins (19) made other plans to keep us undefeated while Chase and the Bengals screwed around. Josh Jacobs (40) got the comeback started on SNF and the Monday Night players took over. I don’t know what to make of this team, I don’t believe it can continue this way without Lamb, Chase, and Kittle. I’ll sell but there don’t seem to be any buyers.. So maybe I’ll try and buy instead? I don’t know. Hey, we’re the last undefeated team! Somehow.
Accepting Trade Offers had this in the bag. He was kicking my butt all Sunday and surely thought this was a nice win. Lamar Jackson (19) was pulled early from his contest but he had a large enough lead to – NOT so fast!!! No, but the combo of CMC (28), Irving (32), Mason (12) and Hubbard (10) is scary. Especially when you factor in the opportunities that those guys have in their offenses. Right now, we’ll wait and see what’s going on with Irving and his injury but Accepting Trade Offers will now face a big test taking on Tua Time in week 5.
Yoshi & Friends (0-4) vs Amon Ra Doggin Your Girl (2-2)
Oh, Yoshi .. insert* Bart Simpson at least you tried gif. I’m not really sure what you do here except get ready for the 1.01 next August. Injuries have piled up, losing any one starter is a devastating blow to their lineup. Specifically, losing Jaylen Warren last minute Sunday morning. Chase Brown appears to be in the midst of a lost season in Cincy but at least you can look forward to Skattebo each week?
Amon Ra coasts to a near 100 point victory and improves to 2-2. He also has to be really excited to insert Marvin Harrison Jr into his lineup moving forward because starting Tee Higgins each week (4) is a damn near zero. Pickens (36) popped off on SNF and appears to be the new go to guy in Dallas with Lamb out which will come with tons of opportunity. The other big contributors Nix (40), St. Brown (23) and Kyren (16) are all more than good enough to keep this team competitive and moving in the right direction moving forward. They’ll take on a floundering Hanks You Very Much (1-3) team in week 5.
Gibbs me my Flowers (formerly Tua Time) (2-2) vs Hanks You Very Much (1-3)
Speaking of that floundering Hanks team, what’s going on here? Little Bill (10) and Henderson (14) continue to disappoint while Achane (20) and Puka (37) continue to put the weight of this roster on their virtual shoulders. I’m not really sure how the Tyreek injury will alter this Miami offense. In theory, it would be worse for Achane, but they usually just pepper him with plenty of targets anyway. It won’t matter, however, if Coleman, Williams, Thomas, and McBride continue to combine for a measly 29 points. If only you started DK (27) in Dublin!! All this being said, Hanks only lost by 6! A few more lucky bounces and you’d be 2-2.
Well, Tua Time is now 2-2 and barely escapes but a win is a win in the standings. They’re kind of figuring things out week to week as they’ve been navigating the absences of Mixon and Najee. The trade for AJ Brown hasn’t paid off entirely yet as the Eagles passing game struggles to get going but it should improve in the long run. The loss of Tyreek Hill will sting. He really seemed to back on track (somewhat) with Tua and was ready to EAT on MNF. He’ll be 32 when he comes back and I can’t imagine he’ll be anywhere near the same player. Potentially losing Trey Benson already will hurt as well. Though, I’m not sure what’s going on with that injury at the time of writing this out.
The Flea Market (2-2) vs Shake N Bake (3-1)
Trades Marvin Harrison for Jordan Love (45) and takes down the league’s best team with a 100 point victory. Who the hell is The Flea Market actually? Absolutely no clue but they put up a league/season high 240 points in week 4 to cruise to an easy W. I’m not sure I buy any of the top performers – Doubs (30), Johnston (20), Jeanty (46) but I guess time will tell.
Shake N Bake will be fiiiiine. A little weird for King Henry to lay a dud but everyone does at some point. Better now than later, though he’s certainly struggling a bit to get going. It also just so happened to be on the same day that Taylor (15) took on a McVay defense. Etienne (27) continues to produce so the three headed RB group should be back to dominance in week 5 against a new and improved Ricky B group. Also, congrats on buying Joey B. My quarterback room has about 14 points combined over the last two weeks so I may be knocking on your door soon.
That’ll put a bow on week 4! So much activity, uncertainty and it’s what makes this game so wild from week to week. You can have the clear, better roster and lose to a bottom feeder for no other reason than just because. There will be many more decisions made over the next 7 days as teams pick their direction and we’ll have it all highlighted in the week 5 Dynasty Digest.
