Chris’ Midseason Take: The NFL’s Wild Ride So Far
November 7, 2025
Oh boy, what a whirlpool of emotions this NFL season has been. When you look at the NFL records going into week 10, you would not expect to see the Patriots, Colts, and Seahawks leading their divisions with only 2 losses each.
When the Colts received Daniel Jones I didn’t think it would affect much if anything, but “Indiana Jones” has proved a lot of people wrong and has fought his way to bring the Colts to be one of the best teams in the league this year. Most of the teams have stayed the same with their normal mid range records, but then we have Super Bowl worthy teams dropping to spots like 3-5 like the Ravens, 3-6 like the Commanders, and 4-4 like the Vikings, with the trade deadline on week 9 we saw a lot of movement in the final days, and we can all look at the Jets and see that they are throwing away their entire team getting rid of their superstars, but keeping Breece Hall in hostage. There has been a lot of news and memes going around suggesting the idea that Breece Hall is furious with Jets GM Darren Mougey for keeping him there.
Chiefs kingdom was also expected to be undefeated in the current weeks, but they fall short standing at 5-4. Yet are still somehow expected to go to the Super Bowl and are favored to win? There are clearly teams that are doing better than them that are 100% ready to go to the super bowl. Many people still argue about the refs favoring the Chiefs, I don’t completely disagree, but I don’t think it’s 100% true,. If the refs were favoring the Chiefs, no matter what, then they wouldn’t have lost 4 games, maybe 2 at most. But the refs have looked ridiculous this season for all teams.
I think that we can all agree that this NFL season has not looked like a normal NFL season at all. All we can do now is sit back and watch the rest of the season unfold from here.
