Blood, Sweat & Bye Weeks: The Week 13 Survival Games
Week 13 slammed the door on trades and kicked open pure, unfiltered desperation. The FAAB flew, the contenders flexed (or face-planted), and the bubble teams clung to life like a running back fighting for inches at the goal line. With byes up for grabs and playoff dreams on the brink, this week wasn’t just about winning…it was about survival. Buckle up. The grind is officially on.

Game Recaps
Everyone’s Hurts (9-4) vs Ricky B (5-8)
A week after he scored 240 points, Hurts struggled to hit 136 as our lowest winning number of the week. Jahmyr Gibbs (13) came crashing down to earth after his 70 point week 12 performance. Jalen Hurts (26) continues to feed AJB (36) who’s now making up for lost points from early in the year. They’ll improve to 9-4 and have a chance to secure a bye week with a week 14 win against Amon Ra Doggin Your Girl.
Ricky B just doesn’t have the horses to fight anymore. One more left but he has the opportunity to play spoiler against Bronze Universe in his final showdown of the season.
Blue Know It (6-7) vs Accepting Trade Offers (8-5)
It’s really simple for Blue Know It. Currently on the outside looking in, they’ll need a win to have their season continue in the playoffs. It’s been disappointing from Saquon Barkley to Justin Jefferson but they’re still right on the cusp of making it in. They’ll get to take on a Hanks You Very Much team who has been out of the running for weeks. Despite everything, Blue Know It can still make something of this season.
Blue Know It currently is third to last – Meaning, if they do not make it in the playoff, Everyone’s Hurts (who owns the pick from the Drake Maye trade) will receive a top 3 pick in the draft. A lot on the line!
Shake n Bake (9-4) vs Big Penix Energy (7-6)
It’s going to come down to week 14 for BPE on if they make the postseason or not. It has been a year where they fell from the one seed to the sixth and now may not even get in should they slide once again. The QB issues have cost them multiple matchups and may have once again with Stroud (15) getting outclassed by Joe Burrow (30). Jaylen Waddle (7) and JSN (4) came up short but have been reliable for most weeks. When your QB is coming up so short, it makes things very difficult for the rest of the lineup.
Shake n Bake cruised to an easy win behind Davonte Adams (22), Rashee Rice (26) and Brock Bowers (22). The running back trio of Henry and Taylor also chipped in a little over 40 points and have been rock solid all season. They’ll get a good opportunity to lock up a bye week in week 14 against a 6-7 Staff Infection.
The Flea Market (6-7) vs Amon Ra Doggin your Girl (7-6)
This is a big win that both sides needed to have With Flea Market taking the win, it now puts both sides into position to potentially make the playoffs with a win in week 14. Jordan Love (38) came through in a big way on Thanksgiving to get it started with 4 touchdowns. It’s truly been Monangai (29) who has been the difference maker for Flea Market. Filling in at the flex spot and putting up double digit point weeks has been dwarfing the opponents’ flex. They’ll now look ahead to a week 14 showdown with Big Penix Energy for a trip to the postseason.
Ra Doggin can make none of it matter with a week 14 win of their own but will get the toughest matchup of anyone on Sunday against Everyone’s Hurts. They’ll also have to do it without star receiver ARSB.
Bronze Universe (8-5) vs Yoshi & Friends (3-10)
Yoshi very nearly pulled off what would have been a huge upset here. They’ve struggled to hit 100 points most weeks but hit 140 and just needed two more for the win. Tyrell Shavers provided another goose egg in the lineup which cost them the game. Bronze Universe can now take a breather as they’ve clinched a playoff birth with a win. They’ve taking a team with a rich history of losing and brought them all the way back from the dead. There’s a good chance they’ll get their 9th win this week against Ricky B.
Hanks You Very Much (4-9) vs Staff Infection (6-7)
Staff Infection is still alive after getting the big win over Hanks this past week. It was a statement as well as they won with the second highest points total on the week. While they’re somewhat of a longshot as they’ll need a win and some help, there is still some life here. Unfortunately, they’ll match up with a team that has really separated themselves from the rest of the pack with Shake n Bake but a win will put them right back into the mix!
